WHy Wavelink?
In high school, I contacted a company I knew from connections and said I was looking for an internship. I was amazed I got an interview! So I prepared and worried...and more worrying until it was my chance to prove how driven I was. Still in high school and not much experience at all, they took a chance and accepted my application because of my professionalism (thanks, Mom!) and my drive (..also thanks, Mom). It was hard at first to learn all these new things, but in the end, I loved it. Colen Built Development became my home. It's where I learned most of what I know in digital marketing. After staying with them for almost a year, the time had come to see if I could get accepted into the University of South Florida. I got accepted, which meant I had to leave Colen Built Development for a short time. I was back the following summer, learning more and more.
I wanted to start off by saying welcome to WaveLink Media Inc. blogs. This is my first one, and I'm so excited you joined me. I wanted to first introduce myself. My name is Mykenzie Hager. I am a 20-year-old girl with dreams that fly high in marketing. I grew up around marketing all the time. My mom is a real estate broker, and I grew up in and out of her office, soaking up any information I could get. I would take photos of houses and upload them to her website and help her with her flyers and phone calls. Everyone assumed I would take over her company because I loved my work. However, I wasn't in love with real estate; I was in love with marketing.
Now, as a Junior in college, I have learned more about the educational side of marketing. One day, while talking to my best friend, she said, "Crazy idea, we open our own agency." So I thought..and thought... "What if" I kept running through my head. Then I decided to jump; although my best friend and I are not partners in this company, she also owns her own agency (Check out Rose Petal Media on Instagram!). We collaborate together and help each other out with brain blocks.
I started early in my carrer only being a Sophmore in Highschool I knew I wanted to find out what I was going to do before going to college everyone says that most people change their minds when in college on what they wanted to do. But I didn't want to do that. If I was going to do it, I would test the barrier on how hard I would push myself.
My main goal is to help people who may need help understanding the degree of digital marketing. I want to help them navigate the ever-changing waves (get it, WaveLink) of digital marketing. But anyway, that is it, for now, see you on the next one!
